Asylum Entertainment is a television production company based in Encino, California, United States. It is known for producing sports programming and reality and scripted television series such as Beyond the Glory and The Kennedys. It was purchased by Legendary Entertainment in 2013. Steve Michaels (son of sportscaster Al Michaels) and Jonathan Koch formed Asylum Entertainment in 2001 when they began producing ''Beyond the Glory'' for Fox Sports. The series ran for 5 season and was nominated for 10 Emmys. With its success, Asylum went on to produce several other sports programming series such as IN FOCUS, ESPN’s 30 FOR 30, and the Emmy nominated series Fearless.〔()〕 They soon began to expand their programming to include reality beyond sports programming, producing ''The Locator'', ''Addicted'', ''American Gangster'' and many more. In 2011, Asylum crossed over from reality to scripted projects with ''The Kennedys'', the highly acclaimed 10-time Emmy nominated eight-part mini-series for ReelzChannel starring Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes, Barry Pepper, and Tom Wilkinson. After The Kennedys' success, Asylum Entertainment entered into a production deal with ReelzChannel to develop and produce original series for the network. The newest collaboration between the two companies include the new series ''Beverly Hills Pawn'', set for a Summer 2013 release. Additionally in 2013, Asylum produced ''Urban Tarzan'' with Spike TV, Owner's Manual with AMC, the second season of ''Gangsters: America's Most Evil'' on Bio and ''The Lylas'' with WE tv. They are also teaming up with Spike TV yet again in Spike's new scripted programming block to produce the ''Whitey Bulger Project''. While Asylum Entertainment focuses mainly on producing television series, they continue to produce feature-length films. ''Small Time'', starring Christopher Meloni and directed by Joel Surnow, has been picked up for release by Anchor Bay Entertainment. Their biopic ''Ring of Fire'' starring Jewel as June Carter Cash is premiering on Lifetime TV in May 2013. ''Happy Valley'', based on the Jerry Sandusky scandal in 2011, is being produced with A&E Indie Films. == Filmography == * ''Small Time'' (2014), film 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Asylum Entertainment」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
